I’m a huge animal lover and I was wondering if anyone could help me solve my problem… I have a dog who’s name is Elvis and a cat who’s name is Princess! I’ve discovered that Elvis had worms, (is it possible that he got from other pets???) so I want to my vet and he gave him a de-worming medication in a tablet form but he wouldn’t swallow it!! I didn’t want to use too much force so I tried wrapping it with some sausage but he some how figured it out! please help me!! Tami |

I put pills in a spoonful of peanut butter and give it to my dogs. They've never, ever spit out a pill covered in peanut butter. Good luck! |
I put the pills in cheese, it’s eaten before they notis that it is pills in |
Whenever I have trouble with one of the dogs spitting
out a pill, I open the mouth, put it on the back of the tongue and push it with my finger as far as I can. Then tilt the head back and stroke the throat to get them to swallow. That's what works for me anyhow! Shellie |

Me too.
I also blow in their face after shutting their mouth. They will usually swallow. |
I just pill the dogs too by sticking it in the back of their throats. If you have trouble opening the mouth, it's better to try opening from the corners of the mouth (where his cheeks would be). Kind of have one hand on top & the other on the bottom and then soon as the mouth is open follow Shellie's instruction and hold the mouth closed until he swallows. Then you can give him a treat or something to wash it down with.
You didn't say whether Elvis is a puppy or a new dog in your family. Many puppies can get worms easily while their immune systems build. It is possible for your dog to get worms from your cat, but more often they get it by sticking their noses in other poo. Also, if your dog is a senior they are more susceptible in getting it that way since their immune systems are weaker. |
Hi Tami!
about five months ago my dog Angie suffered from worms. my friend told me to buy a de-worming pill and mix it with some chicken but Angie figured it out and only ate a quarter… that happened a couple of times unlit two months ago I’ve found a solution in a form of dry food that my Angie really liked and I didn’t have to force her at all !!! you should try it … [spamming link to "tasties dot us" removed] |
I thought that this was a little too convenient....
Gee, the "pair of you" really get around the internet together alot.... http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache:X_ ... =clnk&cd=7 |
Wow, what a racket!! Good catch! |
Yay Ron for the exposé!!! Nothing gets past the RONIMATOR!!! |
Hey how did you figure that out? I would have never thought anything of it. |
1) it was too contrived; both first time posters, and the post being answered wasn't old enough to be found on a search engine yet.
2) The reply not only mentioned a product, but also used a fancier "url" tag that allows for the use of replacement text instead of just the url being the hyperlink. So I googled the first line as a phrase and came up with about 20 or so identical references. I took an hour and emailed all of the other forum owners, but that won't stop this type of spam. |
Thats pretty cool. Thanks for explaining. |
Geez!
Good catch Ron!! |
Excellent detective work Encyclopedia Ron! |
