| I could see getting hooked on it. They have a beautiful home. What do they do for a living? The preview of the dad getting the grill is hilarious!!!! He's a doofus, isn't he? |

| I watch the show (for some reason I'm fascinated by it)and I noticed how messy the house is. Even after renovating it and getting more room they still seem to pile their stuff all over the house. I couldn't live like that...clothes all over the floor, dishes all over the counters. And no sheets on the beds....just a blanket on top of the mattress.
One episode they hired an organizer to help with one of their closets.....the organizer neglected the fact that 3 of the people in the family are only 4 feet tall  |
| I didn't see that one. I just noticed the piles of clothing on the stairs, and books and papers piled on the living room floor. That sort of thing makes me nervous. I'm not a neat freak, I just don't like clutter. |
| I love this show!! I have always noticed how freakin messy it is, no matter what. If i got a practically brand new home from TLC, i would want to keep it clean. I also have no idea why or how the parents are still married, they are always fighting and at odds with one another.

| I just watched my second show of it last night. I like it too! The father is goofy. Did you see the b-b-q he ordered? He couldn't reach it! HA HA! And it looks like he's planning to buy a VW while the wife is away next time. She'll kill him! Yep, the house is a mess. They were eating breakfast at the kitchen counter and it was soooo cluttered!!! I sort of feel sorry for the "normal" kids. They seem left out. Maybe I just haven't seen enough episodes yet. |
| I don't think the normal sized kids are left out. For example: the mom and daughter went on a spa retreat and hot air balloon weekend for the daughter's 13th birthday. It seems like the youngest son might get a little left out, and the mom has actually said that before, that she knows she needs to pay more attention to him, but I don't think that's any different than any family with a ton of kids. |
| I watched the bbq episode last night.
What does the dad (& mom) do for a living (other than the tv show)?!?! They seem pretty wealthy! After the show last night was a documentary on primordial dwarves. There are less than 100 of them in the US and most of them were 2 foot something and less than 50 lbs. at adulthood. Most don't live past 30. Unlike little people, they look fairly proportional - just very very small. It was really interesting. |
| I think the dad works for a software company...he used to work for a software company years ago and then got the farm and I think he was trying to make the farm self sufficient....he was not working last season until the end. They were having financial trouble so he went back to work. (not sure how all of a sudden their home got renovated if they were having trouble making ends meet. Guess they are now getting paid more for their show) They make some money off their farm and now more people come to visit the farm so that means more $ for them. I think last season the mom wasn't working and now they said she is a kindergarten teacher. Last season they just showed her coaching soccer. They also own a company that makes products for little people and sells them to hotel chains.
I laughed at the BBQ...but the new one doesn't look very stable. I think a lot of the show is an act...same with most of the reality tv....it isnt very real. |
| So I was watching this on Saturday night and now, because of you Deb, I couldn't stop staring at all the mess! You're right. The house is very messy. I was obsessed with looking at the mess.
But I still love the show. It's very fun to watch. |
| I'm lovin' it too, cuz it makes me feel better about my housekeeping skills! It will be on tonight, and I'm really looking forward to it. |
