The farm had her on puppy chow, and my vet gave us a free bag of some fabulous food that you can't buy anywhere but the vet's office I think I need something easier to buy! Any suggestions out there? She was one of the smaller females of the litter and I want her to grow as big and strong as possible w/o putting too much stress on her bones (and without breaking the bank). I fed my last oes Max food years ago and there are a million choices now!! Thanks for the input!! Marie |

I swear by Eukanuba Puppy Food for large breeds. Blue gets two cups a day and, at 6 and a half months, is a healthy 50lbs.
I get it in huge 15kg bags which cost about $75. A bag lasts about 6 weeks- that's with a mini terrier getting less than half cup a day. She loves the stuff too. |
I had used Purina Pro Plan for puppies until I moved my guy up to the Purina Pro for large dogs. He loves the chicken and rice |
Baxter's doctor recommended California Natural and he and our other dog (13 year old American Eskimo) seem to really enjoy it. They also have puppy food.
By the way, the doctor also gave a good recommendation regarding Wellness and Canidae (sp?). However we started Baxter on California Natural and haven't seen any reason to switch - yet. |
