Ron jokes
 We now have 10 pounds of candy left over and I'm trying my best to get rid of it myself.
One of the types of candy was Laffy Taffy. Apparently the name comes from there being jokes on the wrappers. After reading them, I now know where Ron gets his material from. I am now requesting everyone's best Ron style joke. Here is mine from my strawberry Laffy Taffy wrapper: Why do cows where bells around their necks? Because their horns don't work!  |

I think I take offense... maybe Ours is Tuesday - first is was gonna be Thursday, then Tues, then Thurs again, but now it is officially Tuesday. Weird - you're right. We haven't had ours on the actual 31st, depending what day it fell on. It had something to do with crimes and vandalism being worse on whatever particular day. But apparently Tuesday is an ok day, so... Remember the jokes on the bazooka wrappers? Those were about Ron's speed too.... But we love you anyway. (speaking of, thanks for the smoke detector reminder - I don't even have any in the house. Gotta go get some I guess, I keep forgetting!) Shellie |

Isn't life too short not to enjoy the smallest of pleasures, including puns and silly jokes? If they make you smile even a little bit, isn't it better than how you were feeling 10 seconds before? |

Regarding Halloween... you guys are weird. LOL Halloween is always on the 31st, therefore here we always do trick or treating on the 31st.

| I'm in Pennsylvania too, and our trick-or-treat was Friday night. Our local municipalities set their own schedule and they try to keep them consistent from year to year. They also try not to schedule them when the neighboring municipality has theirs so the kids can go t-or-t'ing on multiple nights.
Our municipality always hosts it on the last Friday of October. A neighboring boro has theirs on the last Sunday afternoon, and so on. |
How strange in PA!! Trick or Treat is here on the 31st in our neighborhood, unless it falls on a Sunday & usually people trick or treat on Saturday. Each year we get about 100 trick or treaters!!  We usually have wine & cheese ready on our front porch for weary neighbors. |

Does anyone else's dog get really scared on Halloween? We have to put Guinness downstairs in the family room because he is so frightened of the costumes. Murphy is just so hyper, we put him with Guinness because he jumps on everyone and scares the little ones!  |

| Karen, the termite asks is the bar tender. Like is the beef tender, as in not tough. It's a pun on the word "bartender." |
