You could call them and ask if they make it themselves or is it something from a local supplier. I suspect they'll say they make it, so then you can butter them up and ask for the recipe or at least what makes it so good. Maybe it's a special flour? Unusual seasonings? |
Karen,
Do you have a Trader Joe's near you? I know they carry flatbread there which is yummy and not very expensive. If not, I can pick up a box next time I'm there and send it to you. |
Hi Karen,
Your description of the flatbread reminds me of the Armenian flatbread we used to buy in Watertown(outside of Boston). here's a recipe--- http://allrecipes.com/recipe/lavosh/detail.aspx |
That is the closest I've ever seen. They put a few more things into the batter, I'd be willing to bet some cornmeal or something to get a yellow color and some herbs for flavors, but that might just get me close! Thanks Zahra!!!!! |

Great! Let us know how they turn out! |
If the secret ingredient is somewhat red, it might be zatar.......it's a Middle East mix of sumac (the red), thyme, sesame and salt. |
