| Are you using a Mac or PC? If you go to Preferences, you can change the units and increments from picas to inches. I find InDesign pretty annoying for that. It always defaults to picas so you have to change it every time. I cheat a lot and open up existing documents and just delete everything and start over! |
I'm on a PC tonight. Ill see if I can't find that.

| I had to run upstairs to the PC to check. On a PC, go to Edit/Preferences/Units and Increments
I knew it was there but I couldn't remember the file menu on PC without looking! |
