And to top it off.. I received two voice messages from our "state of the art" security guards (two young 20ish females) at the visitor's front desk. The first call was to tell me I had a delivery, the second call was to tell me now to come down as the delivery was sent away. huh? The one woman said that they were heart shaped cookies but they couldn't accept them as there might have been a bomb in there Her explanation for whey they can accept pizzas but not "surprise" gifts such as flowers or these cookes didn't make any sense either. I'm sad and frustrated. I've spoken to some of the security managers who will escalate this issue. Poor Steve; he was trying to make my week better not aggravating. Poor delivery guy too UGGHHHH!!!! |

LMAO
I know they didn't eat the cookies because the delivery guy left a message for Steve saying that he'd make a new batch and try to redeliver on Monday. I suggested to Steve to call him back and tell him we'll pick the cookies up at the storefront which is only 10 minutes from the house. I feel bad, it wasn't his fault. Our new security enhanced office building is miles north of the city in an affluent suburb off of the tri-state. I know the company has intellectual property, but we don't have any drugs on site here. Their marketed drugs are for diabetes, sleep and chronic constipation so I don't think we are a huge target for anyone. Here's another one...we just moved in about two weeks ago. There are two entrances, one is for visitors and the back entrance is for employees. During the first week, the husband of a 4 month pregnant woman dropped her off at the visitor's entrance. The guard told her that she had to go back outside and walk completely around the building to the other side She told them to screw it! goofy! |
That's a rentacop for you!!! |
what jerks!!!! Don't they have any decency? Geez, some people just don't use their common sense! |
Sadly it is the times we all live in, tight security everywhere.
What a sweetheart steve is, such a lovely thing he tried to do to bring a little ray of sunshine to your day. |

Yea, I think I'll keep him |
Even though you didn't receive the cookies at least you know your hubby loves you and that's just as good. Vent away, we understand. |

What about Fedex packages from clients? Those aren't "scheduled". What a dumb rule. Steve is a keeper |
