Trying To Get Fletcher Home

I just wanted to update you all on Fletchers progress. The Drs say he is about as good as he is going to get. I WILL NOT INSTUTIONALIZE HIM. . It just breaks my Heart to think of Him Warehoused in a Psych Hospital. So I have opted to bring him home. I think I can handle him with some help in the home. Workers Comp has said whatever I want to do they will cover..... I just have to Try...... Sheepie Hugs, Kaye

Kaye,
That is good that you will be getting some help at home.
You need it and it will lessen the load on you.
I think it will definitely brighten his spirits coming home.
I'm glad that he can come home, Kaye.
Im glad that he is coming home. Definately get some extra help! Thoughts are with you!!
Good luck, Shug.
God bless you, Shug. You are an angel to all beings around you, both human and animal.
Hi Shug,

What a difficult road you've had to travel and yet you seem to just grin and bear it and carry on. I admire all you do and I do hope that WC will provide some assistance for you. Best Wishes and hope everything runs smoothly for you.

Kaye,

If anyone can do it you can. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always.

God Bless You and Your Family,
Good luck! I'm sure you know what's best. Please accept all of the help they are willing to give you.
Kaye, this will mean the world to Fletcher. It will be work having him home but you know it will be worth it. Definitely take all the help that is offered and remember that we're here to provide whatever support we can.

Bless you, Fletcher and the babies.
That's good news Kaye! Maybe being in his own home around the babies will help him.
Goodluck Kaye, Just remember to TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF too!
Bless you, Kaye. It won't be easy, but it will be worth it. Please do accept all the help you are offered and be sure to make time for yourself.
I think you are making a good choice. Get hooked up with a good home care agency and set up a schedule.

I do home care nursing as well as hospital nursing. My current home care client is a severely disabled girl. I have been with her and her family for 6 years. Her family can have 24 hr coverage, but they select the hours they need help, and we fill them. It gives them the rest they need, but allows private family time as well for them.

I am a big advocate of home nursing, hospice in the home and things like that. I think people are happier and do better if being at home is an option. Good luck and best wishes with the transition.
I think it will be great for him to be around all the sheepies! good luck!
Kaye, it will make a huge difference for Fletcher to be home. Do accept all the help that is offer, and don't forget to make some time for yourself. Maybe there is a support group in your area for caregivers.

Good luck..and congrats to you and Fletcher for taking care of each other.

I know it's hard to lose sight of making time for yourself. I watched someone get so drained before taking care of their spouse 24-7. It's not selfish for you to do this, so I hope you will really try to make time for yourself.

Good luck with everything!
