This year, we will be holding a silent auction to help raise money for NEOESR. We all know what great work they do. And we all know how expensive it is to care for our dogs. It will be held side-by-side with their online auction. (www.neoesr.org). We’ve had so many wonderful things donated, and have high hopes of surprising NEOESR with a handsome check. Because we will be in a forest preserve, no money can legally be exchanged. So, if you are the winning bidder, you will take your treasure home, along with an envelope addressed to me, and immediately send me a check made payable to NEOESR. Your donation is tax deductable. Host: SheepieFest! 3 Planners Location: Van Patten Woods, Wadsworth, IL When: Sunday, October 8, 11:00am to 3:00pm The much anticipated SheepieFest! 3 is back!!! This year is bring your own lunch and a dish to pass. For the out-of-towners, we have a ton of grocery stores with great deli counters and just about every fast food franchise that’s been invented. Wadworth is about 40 miles north of Chicago, IL and about 25 miles south of Milwaukee, WI. Here is a link to the Van Patten Woods website which also includes directions: http://www.lcfpd.org/preserves/index.cf ... 215&type=P For those of you who are not within commuting distance and wish to stay overnight in Illinois, here is a link to the Pet Friendly motel/hotel guide for Illinois: http://www.1clickpethotels.com/illinois.htm One recommendation is the Baymont Hotel in Gurnee. 15 minutes from the park. If there is enough interest in it, we could potentially get a group rate. For those of you who are not familiar with the area, Lake County is rich with fun things to do for both adults and kids. We have a Great America theme park, outlet malls, dog parks...you name it! If you have any additional inquiries, please send an email to debcram@yahoo.com. We can’t wait to see old friends back again, and to meet and greet new friends! Please remember, even if you don't bid on anything, we really would like to see you out there. Cuz you know: IT'S ALL ABOUT THE SHEEPIES!!!! |

Dang, I wish it was later in the month! We are planning on bringing Chewie to Stocktoberfest the last weekend in October -it's in Genoa City right on the state line of IL/WI. It sounds like both events are near each other. It's a pretty good drive from us, so we can't do it twice in a month . |
It will the most fun evah! I can't wait to bid on stuff and see everyone and a mess o' sheepies. I hope Deborah and/or Stacy have digital cameras (hint, hint). |
