I LOVE it! It's a different premise, dark and mysterious. And the best thing is, if you miss an episode, you can go to www.nbc.com and watch the whole episode!! Same thing with Studio 60 (which I also love) and the new Friday Night Lights (premiering tonight).
Heroes definitely keeps you thinking, though. Doesn't let you snooze through it!! |
I like it a lot. I've been watching it on the scifi rebroadcast, as I never seem to catch the monday night NBC time slot! I trhink it is a very cool premise, so far the execution is good. I hope the writing continues to go strong, I love the scifi/fantasy premise shows. There just aren't enough successful ones around! |
We loved it, too! I can't wait to get home and watch the episode that we Tivo'd! |
Love the show! |
What did you all think of this weeks episode??? That was a great ending!!! cant wait for next weeks!! |
I liked it! I think the japanese guys and the comic book are hilarious! What's up with the skull ring the blond mom found? Do you think it is a plant??? Is some nefarious force (other then her criminal hubby) behind the map and bodies in the trunk??? |
It's starting to get really interesting because the characters are starting to intertwine. Like the younger brother of the would-be senator hooking up with the girlfriend of the artist who paints the future - and him seeing it in his drawings!! And the Japanese guys with the comic book really are funny! Eerie, but funny. I just LOVE this show!! |
that last scene with the cheerleader on the autopsy table was just rivoting!!!!! What a cool episode ending...really makes sure you watch the next weeks show!! |
This show is starting to feel like Lost (like with all the characters getting intertwined) but with super powers. How awesome is that? I'm really enjoying it. I can't wait for the show to progress.
James and I love the little Japanses guy. He's so cute. I want to pinch his cheeks. |
I missed last weeks episode. Can someone give me a rundown of what happened so I'm not lost watching tonight? |
Can't you still catch it on NBC.com? I'd run it down for you, but I'm terrible at that -I either get bogged down in details or skip over things. |
Yeah, I think you can. They played all 3 episodes last night, too.
You can always hit wikipedia. they'll tell you ll you want to know and even more that you didn't think you needed to know! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heroes_%28TV_Show%29 |
Okay, is anyone else keeping up with this phenomenal show??? I LOVE it!!
New twists and turns every week. Fantastic writing. Can't WAIT for each week's episode! |
I just caught a bit of it last night, first time I've seen it. I only saw about ten minutes, but I liked it... I wish I had seen the beginning episodes though... |
Stacey, go to www.nbc.com and you can catch all the back episodes. You won't be worry!! |
Drezzie's Mom wrote: Okay, is anyone else keeping up with this phenomenal show??? I LOVE it!!
New twists and turns every week. Fantastic writing. Can't WAIT for each week's episode! I look forward to it all week. I'm still loving it and I'm getting more and more interested. I'm so glad I have Heroes since Lost will be done for awhile after this week! |
Drezzie's Mom wrote: Stacey, go to www.nbc.com and you can catch all the back episodes. You won't be worry!!
Ya know, if I could spell, I'd be dangerous!! I meant to say - you won't be Sorry!! |
@ Drezzie
Stacey, it was the first time I caught it as well. It was while I was putting lil J down, but I got a good 30+ minutes of it. I wish they played re-runs on a different day. I know they do with some shows. My Bachelor comes on Mondays Didn't last night because of the Country Music Awards or whatever where Faith Hill made an idiot of herself. |
How cool that Micah has super powers, too, and knows when his "mom" isn't his Mom by her voice. THAT was great! |
AND Micah's dad has superpowers too!! Wonder if Mom knows about Dad and vice versa? Wonder if Micah knows about either one of them? The plot thickens!! |
I think Micah knows something about mom but not dad yet. Mom and dad definitely don't know about each other, otherwise, he wouldn't have gotten mad and ran away with the money and Micah had he known that she had an alter ego capable of stuff like that. I heard an interview with Hiro and he said that you knew Micah was going to be able to do something with those kind of parents! |
Okay, who saw last night's show? Wow! It's getting deeper and deeper. New heroes, more mystique. This show is nothing short of riveting. WOW!! |
I'm a little frightened for our Japanese buddy. |
He was in the birthday picture on the wall, so at least he made it backwards in time. He probably didn't show back up because he was keeping her away from the diner. (I have a feeling that he may be the show's teddybear for the ladies, so maybe his part is safe.)
But then wouldn't his partner have noticed the police had left? Wouldn't his partner have forgotten about the murder because it never happened? Maybe the body will just disappear as if nothing happened. |
I caught that he was in the birthday picture, but doesn't his friend usually "freeze" while he's bending time? I didn't notice that he did that last night since he was counting to five...just makes me wonder...
But, I think you're right that he's the show's resident "teddy bear" and big hit with the viewers, so he's probably safe. |
It's hard to write science fiction.
It's even harder to watch it if it isn't well written. So far so good, and I'm hoping that when we figure out what this show is all about that the writing was actually good! LOL After they save the world the first time, will they have a different mission each year? |
My guess is that Silar will be around for awhile, even after they save the world the first time.
Now the question is - is Silar Clair's father? If not, is he a good guy or a bad guy? All indications point to a bad guy, but you just never know!! |
I have really thought about this and I just cant make my mind up.....but Im going with my gut......I think Claires father is a good guy......I sure hope he is, because I dont like him very much now..... |
I hope so, too...but I'm not sure either. I have a feeling he's not what we think...
And...who is the kid that kept showing up in the Indian guy's (what's his name?) dreams last night? |
I think that the kid was his own unpredigised (huge sp) younger inner self... |
No, no! Clair's father is definitely evil! No guy that could kill a couple (C'mon, you don't actually buy that "oops" line do you???) and then take their baby is 100% good! I do not beleive he is Siler... I think Siler is some random psychopath with powers. Otherwise he'd just be bumping off people, rather then trying to research (?) them. He may be doing things for a "good" reason in his own mind, but I don't think he's a good guy.
I liked the new waitress. I hope Hiro was able to save her, but I agree with Ron, if he had, the cops'd be gone, and the body'd be gone. It didn't seem like that happened though... I think the indian child was either A) Mohinder's dead sister (though the child looked maleish and too old) B) his father's first research discovery who has the ability to transmit him/herself into other people's dreams (?) or maybe manipulate them. |
This show is sooo additictive. My thought is that Micah's father might
be Silar. The way he escaped from prison, he says that no walls can hold him. |
I'm pretty sure Siler is caucasian. When the cop and FBI agent were shooting at him when he grabbed the little girl a few episodes back, I think his hands were white. Pluse Micah's dad doesn't have the same powers... (Or build, really) |
We'll get some more answers tonight!! Yay! I'm so psyched!!! |
Iriskmj wrote: I liked the new waitress. I hope Hiro was able to save her, but I agree with Ron, if he had, the cops'd be gone, and the body'd be gone. It didn't seem like that happened though... I am assuming that Hiro made it back in time because he was in the photo and maybe was the one that gave her the Japanese language book for her birthday...but maybe despite trying to change the future...he couldn't? But I hope he managed because I think they make a cute couple. Can't wait for tonight...I am glad they are moving the story along at a good pace...not dragging the Save the Cheerleader thing out for too long |
Makes you wonder, though, how they will fill up the rest of the season if they "save the cheerleader, save the world." With the way the writing has been going, though, I'm sure they have more twists and turns in store for us! |
The probably save the Cheerleader (Claire), but don't "get" the bad guy yet? I guess as a team of "super heroes" there is always a bad guy out there that needs to be stopped. They already had a kind of "bad guy" ...the husband who was radio-active...he wasn't bad, but he can still cause trouble. |
You don't think that the radioactive guy is the cause of the nuclear explosion? When he gets angry.... |
Could be... I never thought of that Ron, but that is a very reasonable hypothesis! Hmm....
I think Siler is gonna be the "bad" character for quite some time. Anyone who can freeze people then decapitate them gives me the shudders |
STOP introducing me to these shows!!! I'm watching other shows! I guess I'll have to buy the season to this when it comes out. Argh! I hate missing it. I should find our vcr to record this. |
Wow! What a show, huh?? The network was saying that someone would die, but I never thought it would be the rival cheerleader, the one who pretended it was her who pulled the firefighter out of the burning building!
And what a twist on Peter's character! Here I thought he could just fly, but it turns out he can do whatever "skill" the hero he's nearest to possesses! The writing on this show just doesn't cease to amaze me! Looks like they're going to "explain" Sylar more next week. And the twists they're bringing to Mohinder are fascinating. And who things Jessica really did kill DJ at the end of the show? WOW! I wish it was on every night!! |
Oh pooh! I missed last night! Can someone give me a run down? It isn't gonna be on SCIFI channel this Friday, because of their holiday programming! It sounds like it was good!!!! |
Karen, go to nbc.com and you can watch the entire episode online. |
Okay - in the end, where the girl who is working with Claire's dad is in the woods and meets Siler and puts him to sleep....are they actually capturing him to take him back to their center for study? |
I thought Clair's dad told her to "wipe him clean." As in, erase his memory, like the Haitian man did with the football player? |
Ahhhh...okay...I must've missed that part. I need to watch it again. I declare I miss something important all the time.
I just expected it to be harder for them to catch him. Ya know? |
Drezzie's Mom wrote: I thought Clair's dad told her to "wipe him clean." As in, erase his memory, like the Haitian man did with the football player? I didn't hear/see that at all! Are you talking about in the woods or at another time? |
In the hospital, after Claire had crashed the car with her and the football player into the brick wall, her dad came to visit her in the hospital. she confessed to him what the football player had tried to do to her, and after assuring her that he would tell no one, dad paid a little visit to the young man, using his flunkie to give the guy complete amnesia. Which was of course chalked up to the accident by everyone else! |
I remember the football player's cleaning. What I don't remember seeing was Clair's dad in the woods telling his assistant to wipe Silar clean...? |
Ron wrote: I remember the football player's cleaning. What I don't remember seeing was Clair's dad in the woods telling his assistant to wipe Silar clean...?
I think her ability is to just talk people into things while the other guy can wipe memories. |
Tonight we're supposed to find out why these individiuals were chosen and how they got their abilities!! |
Clair's dad didn't tell her (can't remember her name) to wipe him clean in the woods. He told her that in the building, and she took the Haitian in the woods to get Silar.
Hopefully a lot more questions will be answered tonight. I LOVE this show!!! |
oHHHHH. that's the episode I missed. Good thing Sci Fi is replaying it tonight, so I can figure what's going on with Silar, and everything! |
If I remember correctly, there was a commercial on during the show last night that said the SciFi channel was going to run all episodes in a marathon on Friday night (12/2).
Did last night answer as many questions as it had promised? To my mind - no. It just brought up a whole NEW set of questions! They said that next Monday will be the last new show until after the new year!!! Say it ain't so!!!!!!!!!!1 |
I agree, Chris. I didn't get nearly as many answers as I was hoping for and I have a whole new set of questions. This show is so addictive!
I didn't hear the commercial (TiVO) but if that's the case, I'm going to want to record them so I can watch them all again and pick up what I've missed. |

Say it ain't so!!!!!!!!!!1 That's great news for me, I've missed every single episode even thought I intended to watch this series. I just don't have time to watch tv except for a few minutes before bed, and that's just spent watching CNN. I do love CNN though If it's going to be one then I can hopefully tape it. (no tivo) |
The marathon is airing tonight, starting at 6:00 P.M. No Ghost Hunters tonight for me. |
Oops! Sorry, Maxmm is right - the Heroes marathon starts at 6 PM tonight on the SciFi channel. The current weekly episode airs on Friday nights at 7 PM. So if you haven't seen the show yet or need to catch an episode you've missed, tonight is the night!! |
I can't believe no one has said anything about the weird HEROS ending!!
Did Eden die? Is Peter the bad guy? |
As usual, the episode created more questions than answers!!
If Peter only has the powers of the person near him, what would make him be an inferno? Was it Eden who died, or Sylar? What's the story with Clair's father?? He had Clair's friend's (can't remember his name) memory erased, along with her brother's and her mother's. Why? And the Haitian finally spoke! But what was he going to do to Clair? Her father told him to wipe her memory too, but he didn't appear to want to do it. AACCKK!!! We have to wait until mid-January for the next episode!!! |
Drezzie's Mom wrote: Was it Eden who died, or Sylar? Eden was going to get Sylar to kill himself...but he overtook her. So she killed herself so he couldn't get her power. |
Drezzie's Mom wrote: If Peter only has the powers of the person near him, what would make him be an inferno? I think we are supposed to assume that is that guy Ted(?) whose wife died of radiation poisoning...he is radioactive...I think. |
Okay -here's what I think. I think Claire's dad is not necessarily one of the good guys. I think the Haitian is staging a coup.
I think Amanda is right about Eden killing herself so Sylar couldn't get her powers. BUT, in the preview for the next episode, they showed Sylar still being held captive. So, I'm wondering why he didn't escape. And, I've totally missed the guy whose wife died of radiation poisoning. When did that happen? I think I need to read wikpedia. I cannot imagine how or why Peter would be exploding. |
Beaureguard's Mom wrote: I think Amanda is right about Eden killing herself so Sylar couldn't get her powers. BUT, in the preview for the next episode, they showed Sylar still being held captive. So, I'm wondering why he didn't escape. . I don't recall the preview...but perhaps he is unable to get out of the locked room? He was able to get to Eden because he could move things with his mind and he threw/pulled her into the glass...but he may not be strong enough to move a strong door or get through the walls? Claire's Dad is still up in the air...he really wants to protect his daughter so he is willing to do anything. He and whoever he works for seems to be willing to help/save the "mutants" and help them develop abilities, but we don't know if they have an evil end game/good endgame/gray erea end game yet. The radiation guy was in Los Angeles with the thought listener and the FBI agent. He is in federal custody, but we don't know where he is right now. I don't think Peter is really the bomb...but if he is I would posit that he becomes physically too close to the radiation man and is unable to control the power. |
Amanda P wrote: Drezzie's Mom wrote: Was it Eden who died, or Sylar? Eden was going to get Sylar to kill himself...but he overtook her. So she killed herself so he couldn't get her power. I don't think she killed herself, I think he shot her. Don't forget he also has telekinesis and other powers that could make a trigger be pulled. I also don't think that the radiation guy has anything to do with it. I doubt Peter will die but I think, if anything, the explosion may be the result of him taking on too many powers at once, like if he were surrounded by a bunch of people with powers and it results in some sort of overload. Could have something to do with the uprising that the Haitian seems to be staging... |
ButtersStotch wrote: I don't think she killed herself, I think he shot her. Don't forget he also has telekinesis and other powers that could make a trigger be pulled. She did kill herself..I'm assuming she shot herself in the head so he couldn't get "whatever" it is to absorb her power. When he pulled her through the glass she pointed the gun at him and he said "you know you can't kill me" she turned the gun on herself and he looked surprised and she pulled the trigger. I don't think he would be opposed the shooting her, but not in the head...because that might ruin his chances at absorbing her power. |
Now I have to watch it again. I thought the camera had pulled away when the shot went off so we didn't see it. |
ButtersStotch wrote: Now I have to watch it again. I thought the camera had pulled away when the shot went off so we didn't see it.
they have a short video on NBC that includes this scene. I also read some message boards and the consensus on them was that Eden shot herself in the head so Sylar wouldn't get her power. I wonder if Sylar has to observe the brain while the person is alive to see the problem or if he could open the skull of a dead person and still get their power? Cause he usually opens the brain without doing them any other harm...or least in Charlie's case. |
Poor Charlie! I'm still sad about that! |
HOORAY!!! Heroes comes back TONIGHT!!! I can't wait!!
Only problem I see for the future of this show is that Fox has decided to also air 24 at 9 PM on Monday nights! Since I'm not a 24 fan, it's a no-brainer to me, but I hope it doesn't hurt Heroes!! |
This is why I have TiVO. No choosing.
Can't wait to see tonight's episode! |
I know! I'm really looking forward to it! |
Alright ...who saw it?? Boy, is it getting weird. Good, but weird. Whats up with mr. fire hands and the invisible man???? This is going to be like lost.....you miss one episode and well, youre lost.... |
I know!! Was kinda creepy at the end when Peter confronted Mr. Invisible and became invisible himself! And I couldn't figure out how the radioactive guy is going to fit in the picture too. PLUS, if you go to nbc.com, there's a short video about another new character to be introduced, Wireless.
It's interesting how the Haitian guy didn't really erase Clair's memory, although her father thinks he did. And how Clair is trying to become friends again with Max, getting him to understand her "power." And does Clair's father have some sort of powers himself? I mean, one minute he's in TX, and the next, he's confronting Mohinder in NYC, then he's back in TX. SO many questions, so many ways the story can go! |
I'm confused about the radioactive guy. I thought he died? I missed that episode somehow.
Peter takes on the ability of whoever he is with, so that's why he disappeared when wrestling with invisible man. But, what is invisible man's purpose? |
A great episode last night. I love how they are intertwining all the characters together... anyone else feel sorry for the poor blond mom? That poor woman, stuck with a psychopathic extra strong dead sister in her body
the radioactive guy was imprisoned by the FBI who thought he had something to do with the Syler killings. Last you saw of him, he'd blown a hole in the wall of the prison and escaped. The fireball hands thing is SCARY! I think he's unstable, not nec evil, but maybe not all there... Claire's dad is EVIL!!!!!!!! Evil, evil, evil. Not like slaughter people evil, but more like manipulative, overbearing, my way or the highway kind of evil. I'm not sure about the invisible man... maybe he's going to help Peter start to manage his powers better? |
So who wants to make a guess on who claires father is??? I say its the senator......any other guesses out there.....??? |
I'm with you Darcy, I think it is the politician Petrelli.. what is his first name? It is so easy to remember Peter's name!
Here's my question... is Hiro's dad Mr. Linderman? Or is he a new "power" on the scene??? And doesn't he look like George Takama (Mr. Sulu from star trek) or is that just me?? And is Claire's dad gonna get himself killed by Syler??? Or wuill he survive? I loved the episode last night. Now if I could only figure out what they did with my Battle Star Galactica |
Darcy wrote: So who wants to make a guess on who claires father is??? I say its the senator......any other guesses out there.....???
No way. It looked like George Takei because it was. |
OMG! I LOVE George Takei! I just wasn't sure from that brief glance they gave us, and I generally don't watch the credits! Ooohhh... I can't wait to see what they do with his character. |
This show really keeps you guessing. Just when you think they're going to tell you something, they take you in the opposite direction!!
Like Hiro's father's character - why? Who? How? Is he the elusive Mr. Linderman? And the invisible man - he kept mentioning something about "the others." Huh? And Claire's dad - does he really believe she "forgot" everything, that she really doesn't like Zach? Or does he know she's lying? Does the Haitian really believe Claire's birth mother died, or is he lying to her? And Sylar - how did he come back? What IS his ability? Questions, questions, questions . . . I love this show, but I need some ANSWERS!!! |
I Love what is happening. I didn't like this show at first, but hubby did...and evenutally I just had to watch because he was so into it.
Thank goodness for video tapes...I am almost caught up in the past episodes...I've seen the recent ones. Looking forward to next week. "How do you stop an exploding man?" |
Tonight's gonna be good! I wonder who Claire's dad is? Her mom is the chic that played Christian's nympho girlfriend for awhile on Nip/Tuck. Every time I see her in the commercials for the episode, I can't picture her as anyone else. She obviously has some sort of "fire" power. Maybe she has something to do with exploding NY too, although I think it's something a lot more than that.
Edit: Darcy, I think you really are the Great Brain... |
Darcy wrote: So who wants to make a guess on who claires father is??? I say its the senator......any other guesses out there.....???
Good call Darcy!! So we now know that if both parents are "gifted" the child is too, since Claire & Micha both have abilities. |
i have to say that i ''kinda'' cheated....i knew it was the senator from his watch....it looks like a large rolex and i noticed it in previous episodes...... |
That's not cheating - that's good detective work. |
lol...its all in the details....i actually drive myself crazy because i notice things in scenes that they had to reshoot and it wasnt the same...ie like a hair part, way a hand rested on something, and even shoes....sometimes theyre not wearing the same shoes that they were wearing "minutes'' ago |
As much as I love this show, I was a little disappointed with last night's episode. Other than revealing "daddy" at the VERY last minute, it wasn't all that suspenseful. Except for Silar almost killing Claire's mom, until evil dad came crashing in, but that was about it for excitement.
Can't wait to see what this Linderman is up to, since he "arranged" for Nikki to be released from jail. Anyone else disappointed with this episode?? |
Darcy wrote: lol...its all in the details....i actually drive myself crazy because i notice things in scenes that they had to reshoot and it wasnt the same...ie like a hair part, way a hand rested on something, and even shoes....sometimes theyre not wearing the same shoes that they were wearing "minutes'' ago I'd expect nothing less from the Great Brain. My only disappointment was that Darcy was right. |
I'm not reading this thread, Heros only premiered here last week, soooo, I am not going to read this thread, It's on tonight, can't wait for the 2nd episode, don't tell me anything. |

Just so I'm clear, is Linderman Hiro's dad? Or did Hiro's dad just interrupt him on his way to see Linderman? |
Scruffy's Mom wrote: Just so I'm clear, is Linderman Hiro's dad? Or did Hiro's dad just interrupt him on his way to see Linderman?
Linderman is not Hiro's Dad. His Dad interupted him. |
Whoahhh Nellie - last night's episode was GOOD!!
Did you see it? |
It was REALLY good!!! Next weeks looks even better!! |
They said someone would die and I forgot all about that until it happened. This show gets better every week and I love that stuff actually happens, unlike another show that airs on Wednesday nights... |
I would have NEVER guessed that Simone would be the one to die, though!!
Complications on top of complications!! And new "heroes" (wireless lady). Still trying to figure out how the invisible guy figures into it all. I feel like I'm beginning to need a scorecard!! |
im just glad that silar has a ''problem'' with his newly acquired gift......i think he may ''explode'' from having too many gifts... |
Peter's gift is so much better though. He doesn't have to kill anyone to get new ones. |
ButtersStotch wrote: They said someone would die and I forgot all about that until it happened. This show gets better every week and I love that stuff actually happens, unlike another show that airs on Wednesday nights...
pffft. this show is just okay to me no matter how hard i try to REALLY enjoy it. |

Guilty. |
Lol. |
I'm interested in finding out the "history" behind them. Obviously, invisible man and wireless girl have been around a long time. Just interesting to see how it all develops.
I'm glad, too, that Sylar is having an issue with his newest gift. I hope it drives him mad. |
OMG, OMG, OMG!!!!!!
Okay, let's start the discussion!! WOW! So it seems that Hiro's father IS involved here. And is Mr. Bennett REALLY just going to forget everything and walk away? And is the Haitian really going to deliver Claire to the new head bad guy? The previews for next week blew me away. One word - Simone! Yikes! I wish this show were on more than once a week!! |
Ooohh!! Ooohh!! Ooohh!!
You're so right! FINALLY - we get some good insight into what's going on here!! I think Hiro's dad IS the head "bad guy". Mr. Bennett is getting "plausible denability" by having the Haitian shoot him and "kidnap" Claire. This way, when they find him, they will think he was on his way to turn Claire in and the Haitian overtook him. He won't know anything that will be able to lead them to Claire. I'm still not sure why the organization exists - what is their purpose? |
all i can say is WOW! |
do you guys read the online comic book?? it's got more details to all the shows (who, what, when, why) and sometimes more on what will happen.
http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/novels/downlo ... el_021.pdf |
This weeks episode was fantastic! I loved the flashbacks, and all the background on the invisible guy, etc...
Unfortunately, I was also hanging out in the chatroom while watching this, and I know I got distracted and missed some things! Grumble...grumble...darn forum addiction's even messing with my TV viewing now! |
Go to http://www.nbc.com/ to watch the full episode online!
Do it soon! |
I thought the episode was great but I think I'm even more confused about Hiro's dad now. He's not Linderman, I'm pretty confident about that. I don't know if he'll be around much longer either because I read somewhere that George Takei only signed on for eight (I think) episodes. You'd think he'd know about Hiro.
They never said what Eric Roberts' name was, did they? I'm very interested to see if they show us how the invisible guy survived getting shot twice and possible falling off a bridge. Maybe the fall doesn't hurt as much when you're invisible? Speaking of getting shot, with Claire's dad, who asks to get shot in the stomach? How about the leg, or the shoulder or some place that isn't as excruciating as the gut? |
I'm hearing that Linderman looked like McDowell
Heroes Wiki: http://boards.nbc.com/nbc/wiki/index.php/The_Haitian Quote: There is speculation that the Haitian can disable or temporarily null other people's powers, but this is pure conjecture. Claire's father has always been in the vicinity when this has happened, so it's not clear yet who has that specific power.
They mention Claude Rains for the invisible man. Claude Rains was an actor who played the invisible man in the original movie. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0024184/ I was wondering about Claire's dad being shot too. I guess they wanted to make it seem more fatal. |
ButtersStotch wrote: They never said what Eric Roberts' name was, did they?
I dunno, but I thought he was looking pretty good! |
I was thinking the same thing for the stomach shot. Bennet wanted to make it look like the Haitian shot to kill him, but it wasn't high enough.
Yes, you would think that Hiro's father would know about his power, considering what his role in the whole scheme of things is. I'm wondering now if his sister will pop up again. In the previews, they showed a white haired guy as the announcer mentioned Mr. Linderman. Couldn't tell who it was. And the saga continues . . . |
So who else is up for tonight's episode?? I hate to admit it, but I just tune the whole world out when the show's on! Dale doesn't watch it, so I close myself off in the living room and just zone. Even my kids know not to call me between 9-10 on Monday nights!! I've gotten to the point where I watch very few shows during the week, so this is my one guilty pleasure!!
Any speculations??? |
The preview clip I saw for this week's episode where Linderman is revealed....he's in a half turn position...looks like Donald Sutherland. |
I can't believe how great this show is. Always full of unexpected twists & turns!
Bummer that we now have to wait until APRIL 23rd!!! Which is my husband's birthday & he doesn't watch the show... All of the previews are leading me to believe that after the next few episodes the story will be done. Does that mean there will be a brand new set of heroes for Season 2? |

Our first reaction to April 23 was "Thank God our wedding won't get in the way of Heroes." I don't want to wait that long! I was waiting for when they were going to bring in a shapeshifter. That's such a cool power. I think Suresh is going to survive-- what do you guys think? |
Suresh wasn't in great shape -- and what about poor Peter??? |

I heard tho it was picked up for another season.. =) so most peeps are speculating that end of season = end of volume 1 as all the shows are titled as chapters... so therefore some characters will carry over to season 2 (volume 2).. not all of corse cause looks like this going to end badly.. Also.. who will win the battle.. peter or sylar.. its already been alluded to that the only way Sylar can get other powers is to steal their DNA (heros junkie so i have read all the extra info they give on the sites.. they just wont show the sylar "eating" the brains cause they consider it too zombish but they have alluded to it alot).. but peter doeesnt need to do that.. all he needs to do is be near them.. dont think Sylar knows what hes getting into myself ( i hate to admit I was horribly giggling when the good Doc had the upper hand for a brief moment.. im a bad person i know =P ) and malcom mcdowell as linderman... loved him in clockwork orange.. hes a twisted actor.. this is going to be good.. =) |
FABULOUS episode last night! I spent the entire time talking tomy TV, I was so into it. "Quick Hero, grab the sword, grab it, grab it!!!" "Oh no, Mohinder watch out, shoot him quick! He's gonna get you!" Can't wait till April to see what happens next! And Andy McDowell was faboo as Linderman! |

She did a good job pretending to be a man, too. |
OMG, I SCREAMED at the TV when they said the next episode is APRIL 23!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tanks, thanks for giving Linderman's name - I recognized his face but for the life of me just couldn't remember who he was!! I also didn't realize that Sylar was eating his victim's brains - ewwwwwwww!!!!!!!!! Good thing that HAVEN'T alluded to that on TV! It was SO good last night! Looks like Peter's and Nathan's mother knew about her sons' powers all along. Maybe it will turn out that SHE has some sort of power too. I think I remember them saying that the father could fly too. The previews showed something like Sylar being surprised that he couldn't kill Peter. Said something to the effect of - this is usually where they start screaming. So maybe Peter can pick up on Sylar's powers and reverse it back to him!! Wouldn't that be TOO cool????? You would think that after Bennet used the shapeshifter to impersonate Simone for Isaac that he would have been a little leery of his wife knowing so much and being so calm. At least she didn't get Claire's whereabouts from him, since he doesn't remember that part. Too, too, TOO many questions!! Hopefully they give us at least another 4 episodes to finish out the season. Guess they want to save it for May sweeps. |

aye this is what Bryan Fuller, one of the writers for the show, said about that: "it was originally intended that, he kills people and eats their brains and .. digests their powers," but this wasn't stated in the series because it seemed "silly" and zombie-like." so instead of that way they have like Bennet who says in one episode.. that Sylar gets all his powers by "mixing" theirs with his.. so its slightly alluded to.. think a few other references are there as well.. creepy.. but if they keep that allusion going mean Peter is the stronger of the two "leeches".. well imo at least.. cause if it is true that thats how Sylar get his powers.. then he wont get Peters cause Peter can use Claires heals and keep Sylar out.. while absorbing all of Sylars just by being near him.. and i dont want to see the doc get squished =( Peter and Nathans mom... that was a deffo shocker.. i was like.. WTF.. and i used to hate Bennet... but i am really starting to feel sorry for him..i have a bad feeling he's getting off'd but would hate to see that happen tbh.. characters of redemption are great characters .. OOOH..and you werent the only one going bonko when they said have to wait till next month.. =P |
I think the way Sylar gets new powers was alluded to when you consider what he does to all the victims. He cuts open and exposes their brains. It is kind of nice how they didn't make it too explicit. |
Some people think there is a link between Linderman and Grandma... outside of Nathan. That either Nathan and Peter's dad is really Linderman since N said his father was L's attorney so grandma would have an opportunity to cheat OR grandma is part of the company, which explains how she knew about Claire when Nathan didn't. ...and Linderman is somehow part of the company.
Then maybe the scar and hair Peter had last night was what Hiro was talking about when they met on the train a long time ago. Maybe this means Peter isn't as powerful as the person who originally had the abilities he obtained. Considering Claire's ability and Peter still having a scar... So Sylar may have stronger telekinetic powers, but Peter has more abilities. |
That was a great episode.
I like that Nikki is back and Jessica is losing strength. Suresh needs to survive. Very cool adding the shape shifter. Totally surprised me. So, I guess Simone is really dead, huh? I agree with you, Chris, you would think Bennet would've been more careful having just seen what she can do. It makes sense for Claire's grandmother to have powers. Wonder what they are? Hurray for Hiro getting the sword!! Waiting seven weeks for a new episode stinks. But, on the other hand, Happy Birthday to Me!! |
I, for one, am nearly angry enough at the delay in the series to turn it off for good.
It was what, 6 weeks before it resumed just 3 episodes ago? Or was it 4? I am on the fence. I don't care to be cliff-hung for so long. The second and third season-ending cliff-hangers for Dallas turned me off of that series, too. I don't enjoy being played for a fool by a network. |
Dallas? Wow, you really hold a grudge! |

almost spit out diet coke on that......really Ron, its better to just let go..... |
I got angry with the endless tension and loss of Diane and Sam, although Kirstie Allie was cute (then) I never enjoyed Cheer without Shelly Long.
I just try not to get involved with soap opera-like shows. Although I did like Enterprise with Scott Bakula. |
What if what we keep Peter imagining of him blowing up the city is not really him? Could be Sylar who got the shapeshifting power from that chick. |
Here is another question I have...
Is the shapeshifting gal the same brunette we saw meeting with the cop and radioactive man before they took over the Bennet's house? Anybody remember her? They didn't show her for very long, but it seems to me that they look similar... And I'm going with Jo on Grandma Patrelli... I think Linderman may be the actual father of the two Petrelli boys... |
