but on the plus side, i have a date this weekend haha....soooo dead. |
It's never easy, is it? Good luck! |
good to hear from you, ed! i can't wait to hear all about the date! |
Think - Monica and Chandler, afraid to tell Ross! So are you so dead because your friends KNOWS you too well? Or just because it's his sister??
Inquiring minds want to know!! |
Good Luck with your date!
Hopefully your Sis will be OK with it. |
Isn't this a great thing tho...you don't have the first date jitters/fake stuff/and tortureous small talk...you already know this person, and you can be yourself.
I married a long time friends (male friend).... his brother. When we had nothing else to talk about, we always had one mutual person, and extended friends etc. Good luck on the date. |
Be sure to give up the "Date Report"!! |

Inquiring minds want to know!! SHE knows me too well. but the fact that it's her sister makes it MORE deadly. ....long story....she was OK with the idea but the sight of us flirting was sorta uncomfortable for her.... ..what she missed would REALLY piss her off hahahahahahahah (my friend that is) <--dead meat. |
SHE??? The plot thickens - definitely keep us posted. I have not heard this scenario before: Dating a Best Female Friends sister. |
You're checking the level of gas in your tank with a match.
You stand to lose: => everything if it doesn't work out, and => your best friend, and a lifetime of uncomfortable familial relations if it does. But good luck! Maybe your best friend will realize that she wants something more with you now, so only he sister will be mad. Maybe I'm just being too negative. It might work out. The resulting explosion might blow you into someone else's yard. |
But, isn't a date, JUST A DATE?????????????? |
meh, either way she's a fun girl. should at least be an interesting end of the world hahahahaha |

Good luck!
My niece is going out with her best friend's older brother. The girls have been friends since elementary school, are now in their mid-twenties. All of his family is fine with it, except his sister! The couple has recently moved in together, so she's even more upset - we all just say "get over it!" I know the best friend and boyfriend's family from church - our kids all were in Sunday school together when they were younger. I guess a friend is one thing, but if she becomes your brother's GF - lookout! |
Ed
Be careful!!! Seriously. If it doesn't work out, you may lose a good friend but on the other hand....... Good luck and keep it [gentlemanly]!!!!!!! |
Oops, I read it wrong. I thought it was your sister's best friend.
Not your best friend's sister. In that case. GOOD LUCK!! |
As long as she loves Sheepdogs!!!!! |

I think it's too late for that!!! I also don't think that the only thing he could lose is a friend, women can be viscious. Maybe the next time you see your best friend, you should be wearing a cup! |

sPEAKING AS A"BIG" SISTER... i' rather MY SISTER BE DATING SOMEONE i KNEW. AT LEAST THEN i KNOW WHOSE DOOR TO GO KNOCKING ON IF SHE ENDS UP IN TEARS IN MY BEDROOM.
No really, I'd rather it was someone I knew and liked. It is more fun to do things as couples and if she ends up being "the one" think of how much fun you'll have at family get togethers!!! Good luck, and be on your best behavior, BECAUSE SHE KNOWS WHERE YOU LIVE! |

well put, i guess we'll find out tomorrow night, that's when i take her out, since they live together i'll see my friend, and depending on the look on her face, it's ok or it isn't hahahaa. |
You'll do fine Ed. Any guy that owns a sheepdog has to be a good guy in my book. |

thanks, i appreciate to vote of confidence. I never cease to amaze myself in my ability to screw things up, but reading that helps ease the mind a bit. |
As long as your ( girl FRIEND) doesn;t have a secret crush on you...you are going to be okay....set her up with your brother, or a guy friend...
If she has harboured some secret desire for you, and hasn't figured it out yet, well...she will now be coming to grips with it, and you could potentially be breaking her heart right now and not know it. I'd definitely be watching her body language, her tone, her changes towards you...if she doesn't have those feelings she should welcome you to date her sister. The best relationships come from friendships first, and it is sad to lose that person in your life. You can't exactly confide in her about her sister...sisters talk,...she is going to be caught in the middle. Good luck on your date, and I hope everything works out...it is a tough one. When it is a girl/guy friendship. |

Ed: Good luck tonight on your date. My husband was a very good friend of my sister's when I met him. This past Oct 1st it was 23 yrs that we met and on June 1, 2007 we'll be married 23 yrs. (not that you are going to get married or anything, but sometimes it works out. lol) Just go and enjoy! |
Good luck Ed! |
