I like your other names, but without the "by Stacy" part.
I still think Altered Art is a great name. |
Problem with using Altered Art as a business name is it is also a term for the type of craft Stacy is doing. There are books titled Altered Art. So Stacy could put her name in front; Stacy's Altered Art, or come up with soemthing less personal like ah, .......Ravenwood Altered Art. (I have no idea where Ravenwood came from )
Beyond Ordinary applies also to some computer stuff company as well as beauty parlors, etc. So since the craft style is altered art, lower case, maybe we are back to that now......no, I don't like extraordinary altered art.......yuck. Boy, am I confusing the issue or what ? |
Stacy,
Would this be internet-only or would you go to craft fairs and try to sell things there? I think that trying to incorporate something that is a little descriptive of what you are doing into the title would be a good idea so that people doing internet searches will be able to find it. Like Clipboard Art, since you remake clipboards...not suggesting that title but just suggesting something definite in your title... |
I think I'll primarily sell via word of mouth and craft fairs at this time. I'll get around to internet or Ebay at some point.
Maybe Altered Handcrafts, Handcrafts out of the Ordinary, Handcrafts Beyond Ordinary... |
Persoanlly I like
Altered Art by Stacy or Stacy's Altered Art or Altered Art, Handcrafted by Stacy Quote: How about Altered Stuff by Stacy
Ummm no, that acronym doesn't work... |
Altered art does not make sense to me, you are taking objects and turning them into art!! Not altering but creating.
"Unique Creations by Stacy" "Objects with a difference by Stacy" "Objects Extroardinaire by Stacy" "Unique Objects by Stacy" "Embelished Art by Stacy" "Embelished Creations by Stacy" |
I don't think I told everyone. My business is Altered Art by Stacy with a tag line of "Embellishing the ordinary into extraordinary for all occasions". My business cards arrived today! I'm happy with them except the logo and my business name is kind of small. I did it myself online with www.vistaprint.com which I was very happy with their tools; however, I had difficulty making the logo font bigger. Oh well! I have 500 cards and I'll try again next time! |
Great choice, and I love the tag line too! |
I agree, the tag makes it so much better. Good luck with the show! |
