Small Pin Brush

I was wondering if anyone has or knows about a smaller sized pin brush...I have the Hindes, and like may others, absolutely love it...it's so useful.

Anyway, I was brushing Walter last night and was thinking to myself that it might be easier, and probably more comfortable for him, if I had a brush that was about a third of the surface area.

I guess I'm thinking the big one really doesn't help me in tight places (e.g. around the eyes, armpits, mouth). I know i could use a small comb, but i really like the pin brush feel and the results.

I'll keep searching - but if anyone's got something, let us know. Thanks!

Hindes has several sizes of pin brushes. I generally use the larger #6060 but there's also a #6063 that's a good size to use in the show ring. Maybe this would work for you?

There's a great selection of brushes of all brands at Cherrybrook.com http://www.cherrybrook.com/store/Produc ... ctID=51010
I use the small and medium size in the Hindes. Both are good, small one for behind the ears and under the legs, tighter spots.

The large is too big for me and makes holding it a pain, makes my hands ache :?

Love the Hindes pin brushes. :D

Hmmm, that's something I hadn't considered. I think I'll buy a smaller one at the next show and see if it makes grooming any easier on my hands.
Generally I use The Marson and Pearson hairbrush with naturalbristle.
When they have some matt and back the ears I use a Pin Brush, then I use Christ Christernsen or The GreyhoundPro. Bouth are wery good
and you can get them in differents size and lenght on the pin

Last time when I was to a show I faund a new one from #1 all Systems
that was a litle pin brush and it was a superb one. ann E. tryed it and
when she was going to by one they did'nt have any more left.
It is the best pin brush I ever have had and I will take good care of it!
It is a pitty small one and wery great to put into one's pocket
when you are in the showring :yay:
My allsystems brushes are by far better thn my chris christenson one. The Chris Christenson one is too stiff in my opinion for oes coat.
I just mean in regards to the actual size of the brush, I'm curious to see if it makes a difference in comfort for the one who is brushing...

You get them in differents size on the pin. I use size 22.
But the best brush I ever have had is the new one I by.
#1All Systems
I have all 27 mm pins... but all mine are large oval brushes...
Does anyone know if the color of the pad indicates the stiffness of the pins? I've seen white, black, and red.
Oooh yes Mason/pearson brushes have them too, love the pocket size, use them in the show ring and for fluffing and great for brushing a puppy coat.

Nylon bristle one though.

The all systems one, I only ever had one, as it fell apart too quickly, the pins kept coming out & it was too hard, so did not like it at all over the period of time I had it. So back to the hindes they seem more durable and still soft enough on the coat to not take out too much undercoat. :)
I use Chris Christensen, but i'm going to “borrow” Toves #1All Systems brush , it was one of the best brushes i'v ever used

Judging by Ann E avatar picture of Molly, NEVER :P You have to ask Molly very nicely for it back 8)

Stacey I think you will find it a world of difference grooming, downsizing the brush, I did, so much easier on the hands. I started with large sizes and just found it easier over the long term to use the smaller ones. I only have small hands too, not man sized. I am sure it is men that design these brushes.
Molly is smiling :D :D
I just "borrowed" a friend's C. Christensen brush - really liked it. 35 mm, pocket/toy size. Overall length 7", fits in a female hand nicely. I checked out the web site, and see it comes in the regular handle, and a new ergonomic T -handle. Has any one tried the T-handle?? I like the idea, but wondered about it.
