******* Publication date: 09/20/2006 Take these steps to eliminate pet urine odor Dear Glenn: How do you get pet odors, primarily urine, out of carpets? The floor underneath is concrete. Dear Barb: Go to the Twin Star Industries Web site and click on the FAQ on the left hand column for an in-depth discussion of pet urine odor elimination in carpeting. If that technique does not work, pull up the carpeting, throw away the padding and seal the concrete with an alcohol-based stain kill such as Zinsser B-I-N. Wet down the walls near carpet stains with water. Moisten about one foot from the floor and give it the sniff test. If you smell urine, you also have to seal the lower wall. Seal double the size of the scent. Pull the floor molding and spray the area where floor and wall meet. Also, coat the floor and wall side of the molding. After sealing the floor, put down new padding and re-lay the carpet. |

I would have to be dead to let it get that bad! |
Has anyone used this atmosklear odor eliminator? I usually use
Nature's Miracle. If anyone thinks this works better I'd be willing to give it a shot. Anyone? Shellie |
I agree - I'd have to be semi-comatose, but you'd be surprised
what people will leave behind when they move. I only have an accident now and again, like the other night when Zeke had the runs. Why does it seem like it never strikes him when he is off the carpet? Shellie |
