Hi, my name is Marcus and a month ago I was found on the side of the road where I was abandoned. A nice lady was kind enough to pick me up and contact OES Rescue where they took me to a really nice vet. He says I have demodex mange which is non-contagious, but that if I am kept groomed using a special shampoo and flea free then I shouldn’t have any more skin problems. I am still healing though as my skin condition was really bad and I am still underweight but I have gained 11 lbs already. They think I am between 2-3 years of age since I love playing with other dogs and I have sooooo much energy. I am neutered and up-to-date on all my shots. I am crate trained and I know my basic commands but I could use some more obedience training as I get in trouble for counter surfing. My foster family has 3 other sheepies and we play all day so they can tell you that I am not aggressive but they will tell you I am a barker. I love when somebody takes the time to walk me on a leash, take me for a car ride, or pet and cuddle with me. I lick their face a lot to show my appreciation. I would do best in a home that has previous OES ownership experience, with no small children, and a fenced in back yard so I can run and play. If you need a dog that will get all excited when you come home, keep you company on car rides, and cuddle up to watch a movie – I am the dog for you. If you know of anyone that might be interested please send them a shortcut to this message and have them go to the following website and fill out an adoption application for him: http://oesrescuenetwork.org/ |

He looks like a completely different dog than the boy we saw a few short weeks ago. Isn't it wonderful what a little TLC can do? |

Bumping this up as Marcus is still trying to find a furever home. |
I just wanted to comment at how great you have done with Marcus. When I spoke with Ingrid Monday night, she and I discussed what a great job you have done. I only hope I do as well with the foster I am picking up this weekend. Wish me luck |
Betsy,
You will do great. It's always an adjustment when you bring in a new dog into a house with other dogs. But they sort themselves out. |
