Although this does not involve an OES, I know all of you in here care a great deal about animals and animals in need so I thought I could post this inquiry here. For the past week I have been kind of fostering a kitten, Oliver, who is approx. 11 weeks old. She had moved into an apartment recently and her roommate is demanding that she gets rid of Oliver due to a behavioral issue with urinating on beds. The kitten is really sweet but because of his behavioral issue I fear he might not end up being adopted. I am soon going to have to stop fostering Oliver because I am going away to a training program to learn how to train service dogs. I need to have a list for this friend of the family who may need to look for a shelter to put Oliver in. I was wondering if anyone could send me a reply or email with a comprehensive list of animal shelters(no kill preferably) in CT and MA or give me a link to one that already exist. I have been crying all day today because I am so worried he might get euthanized and not a place to stay and live. |

I would recommend looking into a Cat Rescue organization in your area rather than the animal shelters. The animal shelter near you should have the cat rescue's name and phone # for you.
Good luck with the placement. |
There's a place called SPIN near me, Stray Pets In Need.
Here's their website. http://www.straypetsinneed.info/ They seem to adopt out a lot of kittens, I don't know where the pets come from, I haven't read the site yet. |
